Is always more fun with a pixelated Christmas tree!

In the coming year, there’s a lot to be done for The Pitch Black Secrets of Epiotica. In the outgoing year, I didn’t make much progress in terms of new game content, but I completed many crucial foundational tasks without which moving the game forward would have been unwise. For example, I thoroughly revised the entire script—it had too many inconsistencies that weighed down the narrative. Now the script feels cohesive and makes me happy. A few pieces on the board have been moved, some masks have swapped their characters, and some have even merged into one (don’t worry, the answer to the question of who the killer is remains the same).

These changes also affected the events of the demo, so I’ll kick off the new year with an update (the combat system will shine brighter than ever!) and then dive straight into moving the main story forward. As Nicholson’s Joker once said, “So much to do, and so little time.” But that’s always better than the other way around. Happy Holidays!
